DeSaad is a fictional supervillain who is one of the followers of Darkseid from the planet Apokolips in Jack Kirby's meta-series The Fourth World. Since DeSade is Darkseid's chief tormentor, his name refers to the Marquis de Sade. At one point, DeSaad had an assistant named Justine, a nod to de Sade's novel Justine, although she looked little like the protagonist.
