Zanussi

The history of ZANUSSI began in Italy. In 1916, the 26-year-old son of a blacksmith, Antonio Zanussi, opened the company “Officina Fumisteria Antonio Zanussi” and launched a wood-burning stove. In the manufacture of his goods, Zanussi relied on the quality and availability of equipment for each family. Success came to him almost immediately. Plates began to be popular, and the company's revenue, respectively, to grow. In 1920, the staff of Officina Fumisteria Antonio Zanussi was ten. In the same year, the company released a stove with a cast iron hob.

At this time, Italy was a poor, underdeveloped state and focused on agriculture. Perhaps that is why in the 20s of the last century the upsurge of the revolutionary movement began in the country. In 1926, a fascist tribunal was created in Italy and a fascist dictatorship was established. Democratic freedoms were abolished, free trade unions were banned, and real terror was carried out against anti-fascists. In such circumstances, many Italian companies ceased to exist. However, Antonio’s focus on simple, high-quality and affordable products did the trick and Officina Fumisteria Antonio Zanussi passed the test, staying on the market.
