Capcom

Capcom Co., Ltd. - A leading Japanese international developer and publisher of video games, located in Osaka (Japan). The corporation was founded in 1979 under the name Japan Capsule Computers, as a company for the production and distribution of electronic gaming machines. The real name is an abbreviation for Capsule and Computers.
Capcom is also active as a publisher and localizer of Western products in the east, for example, “X2” from Team 17 and Grand Theft Auto.
Over the years of its existence, Capcom has created many well-known major gaming series. Capcom's very first arcade game was Vulgus, released in 1984. Most of their early games were most often arcade games.
