In 1984, the first Avent brand bottle appeared. Edward Atkin, the owner of Avent, noticed that the bottles for feeding children were not ideal and started developing the bottle that would be as convenient, safe and easy to care as possible. So there appeared an Avent bottle with a convenient wide neck, a wide bottom for easy cleaning, an ergonomic shape for the comfort of the baby.

Atkin paid particular attention to the nipple and created the unique Avent nipple: as close as possible to the shape of the nipple, made of safe silicone and with an anti-colic system.

In 2006, Avent merged with Philips, a company specializing in high-tech products for everyday life.

Today, Philips Avent supports young mothers in breastfeeding, artificial and mixed feeding, in the daily care of the baby, providing products of excellent quality and absolute safety.
